Residential construction is our bread and butter. We specialize in high-end residential renovations, additions, and historical restorations. Our process has been developed to navigate the always changing situations surrounding renovating existing homes. Understanding the complexities of working with existing structures has made our capability to provide our clients with unique new construction and fine homes as well.

One specialty we offer is 100% completely custom cabinetry and specialty woodworking pieces that add character and a personal touch to your finished space. We are able to do this through our partnership with Jessica Pellett Carpentry and her shop. Jessica has been developing her craft over the last 15 years and has developed a process, and an end product, that matches our top notch approach. We are fortunate to have Jessica on our payroll building custom cabinetry exclusively for Sorrell Construction Management. This exclusive access to a high-end cabinet shop allows us to control the schedule of production and focus on the end result.

Design

Our flexible in-house design process helps refine your ideas into a real vision that achieves your aesthetic preferences and matches with your lifestyle needs. During this process we can determine if involving our trusted team of qualified designers, architects and engineers is necessary for the benefit and development of your project.

Budget

After a general design is achieved we pair that design with a clean, user-friendly budget formatted to help you determine the final scope of your project. This format helps show you what areas of the project you may want to modify to ensure you are achieving your lifestyle goals while staying within your desired budget.

Build

With a Design concept started and a general budget agreed upon, we can begin construction. We manage every aspect of the building process to make it as enjoyable of an experience as possible for you. Being a design build company, we understand that the design of your home will evolve and change as we move through the building process. We understand that this is necessary for you to have the flexibility to make changes as you see the space develop. Our organized budget descriptions coupled with real time change orders and frequent job cost updates, help you to understand how the decisions made throughout the building process will affect the bottom line. This allows you to make educated decisions throughout construction.

Commercial

Develop

We start by meeting with our client to discuss the project’s needs. This helps us develop a map of who will need to be involved and create a construction schedule to organize each contractor’s portion of the project in the most efficient order necessary. If the project requires design work, we involve GVV Architects who have a vast knowledge and experience developing commercial buildings, to make sure all commercial codes are taken into account for each space.

Budget

Our unique budget process pairs perfectly with commercial work. Our organized breakdowns of the 21 aspects of construction allow the client to see where their money is being spent, providing a full understanding of the benefits of each aspect of the design.

Build

With a solid plan in place and a schedule locked in, our dedication to proper management and constant communication help ensure that the project is completed on time and to the highest quality.

Exclusive Custom Cabinetry

Our Custom Cabinetry Design Process

Our process starts with a conversation discussing the space and the expectation of function and design. During this process we discuss species of wood, color of paint, function of drawers, doors, lids, etc. Any creative ideas you may want to include in your piece, we try to accomplish. Followed up by 3D renderings, we can isolate changes that need to be made and develop an accurate budget for each piece.

Once signed off on, Jessica will add the desired piece to the workflow schedule and begin production. Once completed we pick up the finished product from her shop, deliver to the site, and one of our many qualified carpenters proceed to install based on Jessica’s designs and specific installation instructions customized to each application.
